Quite the exciting weather day here today. This morning we had a flash flood rain -- typical of the desert, either we get no rain for months or too much rain in an hour. The low-lying areas, like Jorge's place, were hit hard. He had a foot of standing water in his front yard at 6pm. Katlynn, Antigone, me, and other friends of Jorge's waited for him at the end of the alley for him to emerge to see if he was alright. He's fine, his place is flooded but will be fine, and his chickens also were wet but fine.

Must be where the expression 'It never rains but it pours' comes from.
oh, bless your heart! those flash floods can be scary but I'm glad everyone's ok, including the chicken.
