Stop: An East Texas roadside honor stand. Two yellow squash, two zucchinis, and a jar of homemade Bread and Butter pickles. All for 4 dollars. | Start: This is the way Katlynn started every morning at her GeeGee's house: still in her pjs, running up the steps, checking on the goldfish and frogs in the pond, kissing all the dogs good morning, and chasing the guineas. |

We have those here too, people's produce, apples, or jam (jelly to you) duck eggs... but we don't have Katlynn, Bless.
That's cool that you have those there in the UK as well.
For us in the U.S. jelly and jam are similar, but different things. Jelly is clear, like grape jelly. Jam has yummy bits of fruit and possibly seeds in it, like strawberry jam. Is there a distinction in the UK?
LOL. No you don't have Katlynn there. Not yet anyway. But in two years, if my dreams for my 50th birthday go as planned -- a family trip to the UK to leisurely navigate the canals -- you just might!
Wonderful selections for start/stop. Alas, my subject disappeared before I got her photo. I am way, way behind!
I had friends years ago who called it all jelly, no matter how thick or full of seeds - I thought it was another language difference, but maybe it was a family thing.
Ours is the same. I'm too lazy to make jelly myself.
If you are over here, though we have no canal in the area, would love to see you all.
