Pomegranate

Pomegranate

I wish I could say this was from my pomegranate tree, but sadly mine is barely plugging along after four years in the ground. I hope one day...

I love the way the fruit is taking hold while the bloom is fading. I think every woman beyond a certain age understands this.

What a startling picture... Ripe, bold redness, sensuousness and "delicatesse" all wrapped in one... wondrous. I'm imagining these words (except for the redness) would describe the artist behind the lense to a t. You're an inspiration, and I don't say this lightly. Stinkin' beautiful!

It looked like the calice (chalice?) was smiling wickedly while the ballerina's tutu was slowly unfolding... But hey that's me, I am weird that way :0

Debi, you are teaching me how to literally stop and smell the roses. Through your eyes, I am learning not only to really re-discover the incomparable beauty of nature, but also the almost mystical depths it conveys. I imagine you to be a very serene and yet intensily passionate artist with a deep wisdom about life matters, and infinite goodness and love in your heart. I can't imagine that were it not for Zan and Rima, I would not have met you. Lucky me!

Lucky us, indeed. I have to say, without gushing too much, Debi, that you truly have been an inspiration, with your gentle encouragement, your kindness and most importantly your constantly renewed and refreshing talent. You have such a joie de vivre that comes through in all of your artwork, it's infectious (in the good meaning of the word, not the plague meaning, hehe). You're a seriously talented photographer, and your art makes me happy.

Love that close-up.
Cheeky.
Don't talk of fading, Debi, you are one helluva woman in her prime in so many many ways - many of them obvious to us, your grateful blog-followers.
LOL
