Dixie

Dixie Belle, Odessa, Texas

Don't call my dog funny-looking. Come on! That face is pure love.

Bless that dog - I think dogs outdo diamonds any day as a girl's best friend.

I see her with a pink feather tiera in on her head, lapping up the love in a fine china bowl. :) Gotta love her!

She looks very nosy, in more ways than one. She looks like she is wondering what you are doing!

Is it me or does Jimmy Durante come to mind? That's not a nose - that's a schnozz! Beautiful brown eyes, so warm and sweet.

Awwwwwwwww. Makes me feel all mushy- she'd have me wrapped around her little finger with eyes like that!
I like your unsual angle, sometimes it's nice to play around with them a bit and throw a different effect on a photo. She really is sweet!

Almost all dog faces speak of pure love, but this one especially. It must be those trusting eyes. Don't you just love them? It's so nice to be loved by your dog, there is nothing like it in the world.

You guys are the best -- I knew you would love Dixie, too. Even though, in that picture, she looks "nosy" and like "Jimmy Durante" (Rima, I had to cover her ears!).

It turns out that the look in that picture is called "barrel distortion" and I noticed my own shnoz does the same when I take some self portraits too closely. I read various articles about its cause yesterday, but honestly, it's a bit over my head. I just know to avoid it or sometimes, like in the picture of Dixie, to laugh about it.

Hi Debi,

Cute dog!! I like the pink feathers idea!

I thought you had transformed her some way.
