My Crazy Brother

"My Crazy Brother"
with a Western Diamondback Rattler!
West Odessa, Texas

I was not happy taking this picture let me assure you, but it was the only way Casey would leave and come back to where I was. I was 100 feet away. I am the one with sense in the family.

However, Casey did get an awesome shot that we will be posting on his blog later. As he darn well should have, seeing as how he shaved off 5 years of my life while I had to watch him take pictures of a 4 foot, 3 inch wide Western Diamondback Rattlesnake.

He is turning into a crazy fanatical photographer, all your fault... hahah
You should take more care of your little brother.
Great pic by the way - I love his insouciant pose... tee hee. and you kept a steady hand...

Yikes! I saw a rattlesnake of some sort years ago in the Santa Monica Mountains here in Los Angeles. It was soaking up some sun (literally) and as my friend and I rounded a bend, it was there on a flat rock, rattling its warning for us to stay away. Which we did.

Priceless photo.

I am enjoying this new collaboration. I did wonder what 'Secondhand Lions'(I thought it could have something to do with charity shops) meant but I saw a film of the same name in the paper the other day and it appears to have something to do with slightly crazy people lol

Brave Casey!
The world needs more wild kingdom photographers. I like snakes, but I'd like to keep the rattler's at a distance.

Yuck! Seriously crazy! I'm telling you, between the spiders and the snakes lately, I'm starting to approach your blog like an issue of National Geographic: with extreme caution! :-)

Hi! I left a post on "Living in Focus". Good girl, getting Casey interested in photography and blogging. He seems to have a very good eye of balance and lighting - just like his Sis. Not sure about some of his subjects (snakes -omg!!), but a good eye!

I have a crazy brother too. I wonder if he tells people that he has a crazy brother. I'm sure your brother's out there telling people about his crazy sister.
