Listening to the Grass

"Listening to the Grass"
Odessa, Texas

Taking this picture made me feel like a kid again. Remember when you didn't have the buzzing of bills, or the crackle of relationships, or the nags of written lists sounding in your mind? When you could lie down in a field of dry grass, and the only thing you heard was the grass.

I don't know if I remember it but I certainly experience it with your photo and your words.

This one is gorgeous. I'm using it as a background screen on my computer. Thanks.

Or the smell. That's what I miss. Laying in the grass and breathing in that grassy smell...

And you could see all those wonderful shapes of the clouds.

I'm there, laying in the grass, finding elephants in the clouds. I smell it, I feel it. My sister is laying beside me and our hands are joined. Love it!

I remember, I remember as though it were yesterday and sometimes even today I'll lay there an stare up at the clouds and listen to the wind gently whisper, along with the smell of fresh cut grass.

There is a mystery in the out of focus background - draws you there. Special.

I have very fond memories of weed and grass.

john - hah - naughty boy, ain't he?
It is so beautiful, this photograph - has a look of ceramic painting.
Sorry it is hard to find those quiet joyful moments.
