Sandhills
Sandhills at intersection of Farm Road 1053 and 1233
Crane County, Texas
I've discovered this new patch of beautiful sandhills about 30 miles from here. It's too bad there is oil drilling and pumping all around. But, that I can work around with some inventive shot framing. What is really too bad is the morning I arrived at dawn some very busy thrill-seeker on a four-wheeler arrived too.
Still, they are stunning. I'll remember to go back again, at pre-dawn after a great big wind storm.

Love the sky. Tell the truth, do you retouch your photos at all?
Nice! I was hoping to see some of these on our trip and we were in the vicinity of a few, but never managed to get to them.
God, I'd say she didn't retouch this one... this is exactly how I remember them. My uncle used to work out in this part of the country.
Beautiful, like whipped cream.
Gorgeous, great feeling here.
This is obvoiusly a beautiful scene but your photographic skills really show it off so well! Those sand hills look so warm and soft I could snuggle up and sleep for ever...
