The best wild plants grow on vacant lots. They do grab the opportunity. The diversity is amazing and it happens throughout the growing season. I always like the poppies best, they are like bright flags in the middle of it all.
I thought at first the one picture was of a dried zennia, but on closer inspection found a pine cone. Beauty occurs in the most unexpected places. I love the red grass.
