Three peas in a pod

Leah, Donna, Brandi

After work yesterday evening, we had an impromptu get together here.

It's been many moons since I had last seen Donna's daughter Brandi and I was thrilled to see her again. She is beautiful but so down to earth, and sure had me laughing. It is the first time I met Leah, Brandi's daughter. I was completely taken in my her charms. She is a generously loving young lady who wants to grow up to be a music producer. More importantly, though, she's looking forward to getting her first driver's license.

We ate Rosa's (sorry Audrey & David) and sat around my table talking about everything under the sun. We discussed the glowing tombstone at Garden City, Odessa High School's Ghost Betty, and -- since all three work together at the same place -- various office shenanigans. My favorite was Brandi's method for dealing with wicked pen stealers. I was darn near rolling on the floor when Donna told how Brandi got everyone's attention at work and then with great flourish licked her pen up one side and down the other.

Oh man, that still cracks me up.
