As per Rima's suggestion...

As per Rima's suggestion, I decided to try something other than the plain white background (see previous post). For the blackboard, I veered from my intent of using strictly elements from the original image, but I think it did improve the overall composition! It is now no longer "floating."

Oops, I didn't mean to suggest a change, who am I to presume? but since you're so good with composition, I was wondering if you had left the background intentionally white, as in a crisp, white shirt, blank canvas thing. A therapist's bend. or a bent therapist's bend.

Have you seen Sweet Irene's (quiet) contribution?

Love that - and presume it is a portrait of rima our beloved teech?
Yep Irene's are great - she just got right on and did it.

Yes, I think it is a portrait of Rima our esteemed teacher...tee hee. Also it is reminiscent of Queen Bee Honey Farms logo. i.e. the purse and shoes.

Rima, your question made me wonder too what it would look like with a background. I frequently do that...take things just shy of the finish, and backgrounds are frequently and oddly the last thing I do.

Frances, the collage illustrates the expression, "stove pipe legs." Rima, we'll have to take your word for it.

Oh Mom, you are right! It is reminiscent of the Queen Bee logo, which you flattered me by using. I would have done a better job if I had known!
