Birds of a feather

Grackles and mourning doves

Another welcomed sign of Autumn: when birds begin to flock together like this.

Good picture! And, an interesting one. I had never thought about that being a sign of Fall. Still looking up, I see. That is probably a good thing, don't you think?

:) I have to agree with Nelda... Looking up is a good thing.

I love this time of year and you are right, what better sign of the time. We have had 2 more sets of babies from our mud swallow nest and our neighbors obviously have had the same issue going on at their house. Our mud swallows all sit on the lines like the birds in your picture. Hannah and I counted 27 the last time. :)

Thanks for sharing with us Debi!

Is is getting to be fall isn't it? Today it felt like fall here. The air was cooler and just had that fall feel. Yesterday I didn't see any leaves changing, all looked tired and dusty. But today, well it is fall! I love your photo!

Again, very interesting. We don't get big telegraph poles like this round here, there isn't the space, so never get to see flocks of birds like this. Thanks for sharing.

Birds of a feather, flock together. That's what we do, don't we, here in blog land? We're such wonderful birds too, pretty awesome chicks!
