"Martin County #2"

Which photo do you prefer?

I'm so tired. So tired but so pleased with the day from beginning to end. I must sleep now.

Hi Debi,

I am so so glad you had a wonderful time!!

I will go with #1 ... I like that you can see the definition of the trees.

Wish I was with you on what must have been a very exciting day!!!!

Excellent results too!

I will go with #2. It has lovely depth and pulls you into the picture meandering with the flow of the river. Nice work! Nice composition!!

Number 1:) Lovely big trees perfectly reflected in the water. So peaceful and idyllic. Love the colour you captured in the water too.
Sleep well!

For me, as a landscape I prefer the first - which gives an idea of the space and what the area is like. As I have never been to the States I love anything which shows me the countryside - but I like 2 for its colour and texture and slightly abstract sense, I like the composition of both - so if you are looking at Photography - 1 and if it is Artwork - 2
- I realise that I need to know what you are aiming for and what you are trying to express in order to be able to choose between many of your images. The photography is solid now, so maybe you need to tell us what you are aiming to communicate and we can tell you which speaks to us. You are so far beyond the level of 'this is pretty and this is not so pretty.' Chapeau, Debi, strength to strength.

Number one is so lovely. It is pretty as a picture, lol. It reminds me somewhat of a Dutch landscape in the wintertime, except that it has more warm brown colors in it. It has an impressionist feel to it, early impressionism.

#1 I love the symmetry of the trees and the reflection in the water. I just realized something, that the images look totally different on my new computer vs the old. I am still using both :( since the new photoshop software still hasn't arrived.

I like 1 best. I like the way you have caught perfect reflections in the water.

I was sure I had left a comment concerning these Martin County pictures - and sure enough, it is on the post about your trip to Martin County! #1 is my choice, although both pictures are amazingly beautiful.

Number 1 and I think it would look even better and better as it is enlarged more and more. Details and elements of composition would pop out. Balance would be enhanced by scale. Very very beautiful.

Thank you everyone for your votes.

By quite a lot of votes, it is #1. Everyone liked the symmetry and reflections of the trees in the water. It was a sweet moment to see that and I'm glad you all liked seeing it, too.
