Abandoned Stories

Abandoned Stories Series, #1

I really like this photo.

And I like other photos I have taken with this similar theme. I know it's not joyful, I know it's not uplifting, but sometimes photos, like life, can be satisfying by just being intriguing.

It is intriguing, but an abandoned wheelchair could mean that someone just got up out of it and walked, rather in the manner of a modern day miracle, so it could be uplifting too lol

I agree, these types of photographs tell human stories, whatever those stories might be. This is interesting anyway, with the strange textures and colours and looks like a painting. An exploration of form as well as of narrative... LOL

Gosh....

It makes me wonder. Was it a man or woman in the chair. What was their story?

I like images that stir some emotion.
The painterly color, and what looks like leaf or wood debris strewn about. What abandoned what? Did the chair abandon the person or the person abandon the chair?

Debi, your ability to capture so eloquently what the rest of us would ignore and consider junk is simply stunning. You are the Dorothea Dix of the inanimate. Some of these photos of yours are as iconographic as her photos of Americans during the Depression.
