Dressing for Fall

"Dressing for Fall"
Studio Photo

If I were invited to an Autumn Ball, I would like to wear a dress that looked like this leaf, another one of the studio photos taken last Sunday.

I can't believe I didn't get around to taking any pictures this week. Instead I started a decluttering project that will likely take me into the next year: clearing a rental shed, 10'X10', packed to the gills with boxes from my last move. My last move was ten years ago! Out of sight, out of mind, as they say.

I just know inside my pack-rat exterior there is a peaceful, zen-like existence that is chanting to get out. I envision an environment where a single, well-placed river rock could command a whole room.

What's your inner decor?

Like mother, like daughter. I dream of the zen existence, but my love of ornamentation gets the better of me. Do we need all this stuff? That is the question I must ask myself one of these days.

p.s. Beautiful designer clothing this leaf is wearing.

The hubby mentioned just the other day... "let's go Japanese." I'm sure he was thinking something zen like...

Beautiful words and a beautiful photo!

cluttered, I'm afraid. I love clear spaces and room to move, but I am so untidy and we hoard and collect things... I need one place to keep my stuff and one place to actually have an active and serene life... come to think of it I need 24 hours for all the things I should do and 24 hours for doing nothing and another 24 hours to get all the interesting things done... each day. hah!
the leaf is beautiful, these pictures are echoing in my mind with some lyric - but I can't think what the song is.

Interesting, because your photos look to me like the description you gave of a peaceful zen-like existence. You give them space, which is what makes them so healing to see.

My interior changes decor, depending on the day. Today it is all a swirl with reds, pinks, oranges, and a dab of lime green.
