Hello

Hello you

As I read your blogs, I am always curious as to what you look like. A few of you have been forthcoming with self-portraits, but some of you (not naming names) are more elusive. It's your prerogative, but in case you've been thinking about splashing your face on your blog, here's a freshly baked, non-obscured one of me as way of encouragement. (Yesterday was a fairly good hair day and the wrinkles, well the wrinkles are only going to get worse from here on out.)

I'm saying, "Come on. I dare you."

And yes, I took a bunch and picked this one. No, you may not see the discards.

P.S. I'm postdating the date of this post. I've got an early morning appointment that will be occupying my normal a.m. blogging time.

Well Debi, Atta girl! wowie - what a cheeky look that is! Certainly a challenge!
We already know you're very pretty, we have seen that gorgeous picture of you laughing at your friend! Don't expect those of us who aren't so attractive to be as brave.
I'm along the lines of 'could very well pass for 42 in the dark with the light behind her' except it's more like 62 and I wasn't photogenic at 42 either!
LOL ;-)

Oh Debi, you are such a beautiful woman and I am so glad that I know what you look like. I will come back to this photograph often to look at it again. What a sweet face you have and such beautiful hair! I will post my picture soon, providing one of them turned out well. We just need to get the film developed.

Shoot! You know what I look like! ;) It doesn't help that my very blog layout includes my photo... ok, not one but seven. ;) Does that make me vain?

You look lovely, momma. You always look lovely.

Oh, you gorgeous, gorgeous woman. Fawzan always said you were "it" on campus, I can see why in all your photographs.

I've been forbidding Neda from showing her face on her blog, knowing full well that you'd be asking for mine next. Sigh, and now Debi's gone and done the "I dare ya" curse... crap... I'm getting a face transplant first.

Do I have to participate?.... Just kidding, you know what I look like. And probably most of your blog readers have seen a glimpse or two of me from some of your posts. And mind you readers, I was not able to pick which ones she posted, me in the chicken photo comes to mind...

I gave in - but I cheated. My most recent picture as a human is about 10 months old, and a bit blurry. I'll try again, maybe take some snapshots this weekend (I need time to hire a double).

Thank you for your kind comments. The posting and expression was marking an important, personal occasion for me. It is one month since I became reluctantly single again.

I don't feel right with the compliments though -- you should be complimenting my mother, her mother, and so on. Except for where I wrinkle, and combing my hair, I had little to do with the way I look.

But I am thrilled (thrilled!) upon seeing the revealed faces of those of you who took up the "I dare ya" challenge. I love having those faces in my mind while I read your blogs. I love your faces. Thank you for the courage to reveal your outer beauty as an addition to the sea of your inner beauties that I have enjoyed so much.

Oh, and thank your mothers and fathers for me, will you?

I just got back home and look who was smiling back at me: gorgeous DEbi! I love your smile and your twinkling eyes!!! Everything (and more) what I imagined you being like. I will try to show my face sometime too :) You know, before I left, I had a question about gender and this is exactly what I meant: do we --women -- have the guts to show who we really are? Stunningly beautiful my dear....Now, since we do live in Texas (hint hint) I can't wait to see you IN PERSON!!!! Ah! It's so good to be home. I DO feel closer!
